Pain management is the control of acute or chronic pain through medication, surgical procedure or a variety of other treatment methods. Singing River Health System provides treatment for pain to Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, Lucedale and surrounding areas.Because managing pain can be complex, the SRHS Neuroscience Center has developed a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals who provide expertise in evaluating, developing, and implementing a customized treatment plan for each patient.
Our goal is to enhance each patient’s quality of life by decreasing their pain and creating a treatment plan that enables them to return to the daily activities they enjoy.

Meet our Pain Management Doctors
Doctor Bart J. Edmiston, Sr., MD
Doctor Edmiston received his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He performed a residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He also performed a fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. Doctor Edmiston is board certified in Anesthesiology and board certified in Pain Medicine.
Doctor Michael Cosgrove, MD
Doctor Cosgrove received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After 5 years as a Navy Flight Surgeon he completed anesthesia residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He then completed a Pain Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He treats neck and back pain, extremity pain, disk herniation, neuropathy and pain.
