SRHS Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Services

Pulmonary practice diagnoses and treats a variety of lung disorders including: asthma, shortness of breath, chronic cough, lung cancer, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and cigarette cessation. Singing River Health System provides state of the art diagnostic services with the pulmonary function lab, cardiopulmonary exercise testing and endobronchial ultrasound.

Critical care medicine practice provides care for the most critically ill patients including septic shock, acute respiratory distress syndrome, respiratory failure and others.  On site critical care trained (board certified/eligible) physicians 10 hours per day with 24 hour coverage.  Utilizing advanced techniques including bedside ultrasound to improve patient care.

Sleep ambulatory practice cares for patients with obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome and many other sleep and wakefulness disorders. The Neuroscience Sleep Center is a state-of-the art six bed sleep center with certified sleep technicians. Pulmonary and neurology professionals work together to provide services at the center.

The center was founded in 1994 by Gary Rodberg, MD. The physicians here have a combined 40 years of clinical experience treating patients. Our ambulatory and hospital-based practice has developed into the largest on the Mississippi Coast.
