At The Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, with locations in Pascagoula and Ocean Springs, board certified heart surgeons, also known as thoracic surgeons, and accompanying staff specialize in heart surgery, coronary artery bypass, mitral valve repair, aortic valve and aortic root replacement, maze procedures, re-operative surgeries, pacemakers, carotid endarterectomy, abdominal and thoracic aortic endograft placements, and general thoracic and vascular procedures.

Richard S. Eubanks, MD
Cardiovascular Surgeon

Dr. Eubanks completed his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University and his residency in thoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining Singing River Health System, Dr. Eubanks practiced for 4 years in central Florida at the Ocala Heart Institute. Dr. Eubanks leads the cardiac surgery department. He is board certified in thoracic surgery.

Robert G. Johnson, MD
Cardiovascular Surgeon

Dr. Johnson completed his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma, and a Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He practiced for fourteen years in Boston, affiliated with Beth Israel Hospital, New England Deaconess Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital, ultimately serving as the Divisional Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Johnson comes to SRHS from St. Louis University/Tenet Hospital, where he has spent the last 12 years as the Chief of Surgery. Dr. Johnson is board certified in thoracic surgery.

Drs. Eubanks and Johnson are board certified heart surgeons, also known as thoracic surgeons, with full medical privileges at Ocean Springs Hospital and Singing River Hospital and are accepting new patients.
