Where we’ve been – 2011 – Our Progress 

Our staff was selected from existing employees through a series of interviews and assessment testing. They quickly begin a rigorous training process that included classes in Verona, Wisconsin. Upon returning to SRHS they were required to complete a series of projects and a test that were submitted to Epic for grading. To receive certification, they needed a cumulative score of 85% and no grade could be less than 80. We currently have 97% of our staff certified in one or more application that they will be supporting or training.

Our department is located at Singing River Hospital in the previous Physical Therapy gym near the Wound Care area – cubicles have been installed and the staff has developed into a collaborative team. Please stop and see us anytime.

The Phases of the Epic Project

The Epic project plan includes the phases below – we are currently in Phase 3 in which the System Build is completed based on Validation from Phase 2 where End Users were consulted to determine their needs.

Our Go-Live is scheduled for July 1, 2012 – we are on schedule to meet this date which is critical to meet Meaningful Use requirements for the 2012 reporting year.
