Ocean Springs Hospital and Singing River Hospital have long been leaders in providing advanced medical care and wellness programs to meet the needs of all women and children. More than 65,000 babies have been delivered at our hospitals since 1931, and our experienced staff stands ready to welcome a whole new generation into the community through our maternity services. SRHS also offers free educational classes to meet the special needs of expectant mothers. Our next breastfeeding class is Sept. 7 and our OSH prepared childbirth class meets Sept. 18. State-of-the-art LDR (Labor-Delivery-Recovery) and LDRP (Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum) suites allow us to provide the finest in maternal and pediatric care. Each postpartum room comes with a sofa, rocking chair, and other special touches that make you feel right at home. Along with our new furnishings, we also have an updated approach to the childbirth experience that encourages mothers to keep their babies with them as much as possible. It’s an early opportunity to create a lifelong bond. Each mother and her baby have nurses dedicated to their needs. Should you need it, a fully equipped, modern nursery is also available. The commitment to providing truly comprehensive care also includes gynecology services. The entire women’s floor has been thoughtfully designed to meet a woman’s needs. And while a visit to the hospital may never top a child’s list of fun things to do, special pediatrics units including playrooms were designed to lift a child’s spirit. Our highly trained staff, consisting of doctors, nurses and technicians are dedicated to providing a healthy and caring environment for your needs and the needs of your children.
