Whether you are a concerned family member of someone having emotional difficulties, or a professional caregiver and who knows of a patient or resident who may benefit from behavioral health care, you should be aware of the Daybreak Behavioral Health Structured Outpatient Program at Singing River Health System. The Program The Daybreak Structured Outpatient Program is a medically supervised program tailored to meet the individual needs of adult and senior patients requiring intense behavioral health support, but who do not need the acute treatment of an inpatient psychiatric facility. It is a less costly, less restrictive, and more flexible alternative to full hospitalization, but offers a more structured and intense treatment program than periodic outpatient therapy. Daybreak Behavioral Health provides behavioral health treatment to patients who are able to remain in the community but require daily support and stabilization. They also serve as an important transitional resource between discharge from inpatient care and reintegration to full community life. The Services The Daybreak Structed Outpatient Program focuses on enhancing the patient’s skills and resources to foster independence, self-confidence, and self-reliance. The multidisciplinary treatment program focuses on the individual patient to determine an individualized treatment and discharge plan. A patient’s participation at Daybreak is based on his or her individual needs as determined by a treatment team of experienced, professional staff including a physician medical director.
