Singing River Health System Auxiliary Volunteers come from all walks of life. These caring and compassionate partners in care serve in many different areas, providing World Class services to our patients, visitors, guests and hospital staff. Volunteers are friendly, self-motivated and service minded, bringing an added dimension and personal touch to the experience of a hospital visit.

World Class volunteer service underscores every aspect of our Auxiliary Volunteer organization. Our main objectives:

  • To provide compassionate, friendly service to patients, guests and hospital staff;
  • To serve as “goodwill ambassadors” for Singing River Health System;
  • To support special projects and student scholarships;
  • To provide meaningful, well-organized and rewarding opportunities for service to our volunteers.

Memberships

Prospective SRHS Auxiliary Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and in good physical and mental condition. Volunteers should be reliable and able to volunteer at least 4 hours per month. A completed application and interview are required, and selected candidates will complete orientation and training before being placed into service. All Auxiliary Volunteers are required to purchase a uniform smock.

  • Camp Bluebird
  • Special Projects and Hospital Functions
